La liste des Young Leaders franco-américains 2018 est sortie
La French American Foundation a sorti sa traditionnelle promotion de 22 Young Leaders. Y sont présents des personnalités de gauche et droite, comme Amélie de Montchalin et Maël de Calan, Emmanuel Micquel de l’Elysée mais aussi des entrepreneurs et étoiles montantes de l’industrie.

Hasard du calendrier : alors que WanSquare a commencé ce matin sa série d’été sur les 40 leaders français de moins de 40 ans, la French American Foundation a aussi publié sa promotion annuelle de Young Leaders. Créée en 1981, ce programme de deux ans réunit 22 personnalités prometteuses françaises et américaines, qui se retrouvent cinq jours par an dans chaque pays pour échanger. Parmi ses anciens, de grands noms comme Bill et Hillary Clinton, le Président Emmanuel Macron ou encore le Premier ministre, Edouard Philippe.
La promotion 2018, composée de onze noms de chaque nationalité, fait la part belle à la diversité des profils. Côté français, quelques personnalités politiques bien sûr, comme Amélie de Montchalin, députée en Marche et coordinatrice de la Commission des finances à l’Assemblée Nationale, ou Maël De Calan, conseiller départemental du Finistère qui a rejoint le mouvement Libres de Valérie Pécresse. Ou encore Emmanuel Micquel, le conseiller économique à l’Elysée sur les sujets Entreprise, Attractivité et Export. Est également sélectionné un militaire : David Gidon, officier de la Marine Nationale, mais aussi un entrepreneur : Victor Lugger, cofondateur du groupe de restaurants italiens Big Mamma Group fondé en 2015, et qui a ouvert 6 restaurants et 3 bars à Paris. Ou encore Jérôme Batout, associé chez Publicis et ancien conseiller communication du Premier ministre, Jean-Marc Ayrault, et qui est aussi parti en mission aux côtés de Médecins sans Frontières en Afghanistan.
D’autres lauréats sont des étoiles montantes de l’industrie, à l’image d’Anne-Laure de Chammard, PDG de la filiale Construction de Bureau Veritas, ou encore Elsy Boglioli, vice-président exécutif et directrice des opérations au sein de la biotech cotée Cellectis. Le classement est complété par Alfred Galichon, directeur de la New York University à Paris, Juliette Schrameck, directrice générale de MK2 Films et Christine de Wendel, ancienne responsable du business development BtoB de Zalando, et qui a pris le rôle de COO du site d’e-commerce de bricolage et jardinage, ManoMano.
Côté américain, les profils sont aussi variés puisque s’y côtoient Joy Bonaguro, le chief data officer de la ville de San Francisco, Nicole Isaac, en charge des affaires publiques US chez LinkedIn. Mais aussi des financiers, avec Andrew Klaber, partner au sein de Paulson & Co, et Roland du Luart, managing partner et à la tête des US chez LFPI. Côté entrepreneurs, on retrouve Kyle Dropp, cofondateur de Morning Consult, un groupe de sondages en ligne, et côté ONG, Megan Carroll, chef d’équipe dans la section maintien de la paix et évaluation à l’ONU.
