Légion d’honneur : les grands noms de l'économie
La promotion paritaire du 31 décembre 2018 est portée à 402 noms. La banque, le numérique et l'écologie sont particulièrement à l'honneur cette année.
Légion d’honneur
L’an dernier et après avoir tenu promesse de réduire le nombre de l’Ordre national de la Légion d’Honneur, le Président de la République Emmanuel Macron avait porté la liste à 336 personnes, contre 731 pour la promotion du 31 décembre 2016. Cette année la promotion augmente légèrement, à 402 noms. Elle est répartie entre 345 chevaliers, 42 officiers, 9 commandeurs, 4 grands officiers et 2 grand’croix. Outre sa parfaite parité, la liste a de cela d’original qu’elle intègre les 23 joueurs de l'équipe de France championne du monde de football, tous inclus dans la “promotion spéciale de la Coupe du Monde de football 2018 en Russie”. Une première depuis vingt ans.
C’est l'historienne et sinologue Marie-Claire Bergère, 85 ans et le politologue franco-allemand Alfred Grosser, 93 ans qui sont les deux seules personnalités élevées cette année à la dignité de grand'croix pour leur contribution au "rayonnement de la France". Xavier Darcos, ancien ministre et chancelier de l'Institut de France et également commandeur depuis sept ans, est élevé à la dignité de grand officier. De même que Carol Xueref, membre de l'Autorité de la concurrence depuis dix ans et ancienne directrice du Crédit Lyonnais.
Du côté des entreprises, l’actuelle présidente de Publicis Agathe Bousquet, le PDG de la maison de maroquinerie Camille Fournet Jean-Luc Déchery et Pierre Chareyre, directeur général adjoint chez Engie, sont nommés chevaliers. L’ex-directrice générale de Boursorama Marie Cheval, qui est entrée chez Carrefour d’abord en tant que directrice de la transformation digitale du groupe puis a pris la place de directrice des hypermarchés en France, fait également partie des heureux élus. Seize ans donc après avoir partagé à l'ENA, la promotion Senghor du Président Emmanuel Macron. Frédéric Lherm, directeur général des opérations industrielles chez Dassault aviation obtient la même distinction. Tout comme Virginie Morgon, la présidente du directoire d'Eurazeo depuis le mois de mars, Hubert Rodarie, directeur général délégué du groupe SMA, et Gilles de Margerie, nommé depuis le conseil des ministres du 12 janvier 2018, commissaire général de France Stratégie.
Le secteur bancaire est à l’honneur cette année puisque Patrice Bégay, membre du comité exécutif et directeur de la communication chez Bpifrance, ainsi que la responsable mondiale Global Investment Bank chez Crédit Agricole CIB Hélène Combe-Guillemet, obtiennent eux aussi le grade de chevaliers. Laurent Mignon, le nouveau patron de BPCE et Stéphanie Paix qui a rejoint la Banque en octobre en tant que directrice générale adjointe en charge de l’inspection générale s’ajoutent à la liste. Tout comme François Sallot de Noyers, l'ancien directeur général et président de holdings chez Edmond de Rothschild. Le Premier ministre a par ailleurs élevé au grade de chevalier Jean-Marc Ribes, l'actuel président du directoire de la BPE, la banque privée de la Banque Postale.
Cette année également, le numérique et la technologie sont distingués. Car le président de l’Agri Startup Summit Hervé Pillaud, la spécialiste de l’intelligence artificielle et directrice de recherche au CNRS Martine-Michèle Sebag, et Françoise Soulié-Fogelman, experte retenue par la Commission européenne pour élaborer une stratégie en matière d’IA, sont nommés chevaliers. Louis Pouzin, ingénieur français en informatique et qui a fortement contribué au développement d’Internet, est quant à lui promu au grade d’officier.
Comme l'an dernier, la promotion 2018 met en valeur l’écologie, puisqu’ils sont 20 noms à recevoir un titre (contre 19 pour la promotion du 31 décembre 2017). Parmi eux, Marie-Hélène Aubert, membre permanent du Conseil général de l’environnement et du développement durable, l’ancien commissaire de l’Autorité de sûreté nucléaire Philippe Jamet et la journaliste spécialisée Pascale Erm obtiennent le grade de chevalier. Jacques Vernier est aussi élevé au grade de commandeur par le ministère de la transition Écologique et Solidaire. Cet ancien maire de la ville de Douai est spécialiste des questions environnementales. Il est aussi l’actuel président de Conseil supérieur de la prévention des risques technologiques.
Plusieurs autres politiques figurent parmi cette nouvelle promotion. Jacques Godfrain, ancien ministre, ancien député, ancien maire de Millau, est promu officier tandis que Marisol Touraine, ancienne ministre et François Zocchetto, ancien sénateur, maire de Laval, sont nommés chevaliers. A noter cependant qu'aucun représentant des partenaires sociaux ne figure parmi cette toute nouvelle promotion.
