Mustier et Oppetit aux côtés de Lafonta
Selon les informations de WanSquare, deux financiers reconnus s'apprêtent à rejoindre le conseil de surveillance de HLD, le fonds d'investissement créé il y a un an par Jean-Bernard Lafonta, l'ancien président du directoire de Wendel, Philippe Donnet, l'ancien responsable d'Axa au Japon, et Jean-Philippe Hecketsweiler, spécialiste du private equity. Le premier est Jean-Pierre Mustier, X-Mines, ancien patron des activités de banque de financement et d'investissement de la Société Générale, victime collatérale de l'affaire Kerviel. Après une année sabbatique, il vient de rejoindre la banque italienne Unicredit, comme responsable de toute la partie banque d'affaires. Ce qui le place, de nouveau, au premier rang du paysage bancaire européen. Le second est Bernard Oppetit, polytechnicien, également spécialiste des marchés qu'il a longtemps dirigés au sein de Paribas avant de prendre la poudre d'escampette au moment de l'OPA de BNP sur la Maison de la rue d'Antin. Depuis 2000, il anime donc depuis Londres le fonds Centaurus Capital, actionnaire notamment d'Atos Origin. Il est aussi administrateur de Natixis. La particularité de ces deux nouvelles "recrues", c'est qu'elles se situent en dehors de l'establishment parisien et qu'elles sont très riches. Leur entrée au conseil de surveillance de HLD (structure où ont également investi Claude Bébéar et Norbert Dentressangle) s'accompagne donc d'une prise de participation, qui permet au fonds d'afficher désormais un capital de 12,7 millions d'euros.
