Déception sur les ventes au détail de la zone euro

Les ventes au détail de la zone euro progressent, mais moins fortement que prévu.

D’après Eurostat, l’office statistique de l’Union européenne, le volume des ventes du commerce de détail corrigé des variations saisonnières a augmenté de 0,3 % dans la zone euro par rapport à juillet 2021. Le consensus de Reuters tablait plutôt sur 0,8 %, ce qui marque un écart important. D’autant plus qu’en juillet 2021, il s’était contracté de 2,6 %. En glissement annuel, les ventes restent stables, alors que le consensus visait une hausse de 0,4 %.

Dans le détail, les ventes au détail du mois d'août des produits non alimentaires ont augmenté de 1,8 %. A contrario, elles ont diminué de 0,3 % pour les carburants et de 1,5 % pour le secteur de l’alimentation, de la boisson et du tabac.

Certains États membres de la zone euro se démarquent positivement sur le mois d'août 2021 comme Malte (+2,7 %), l’Irlande (+2,5 %) et la Slovaquie (+2,0 %). D’autres négativement comme le Danemark (-1,4 %), la France et l’Estonie (-1,2 %).
