Jean Castex fait évoluer son équipe
Le Premier ministre a nommé Olivier Ginez en qualité de chef de cabinet. Il était jusqu'à présent directeur adjoint de cabinet de Frédérique Vidal, ministre de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation.

Avec le départ de Mathias Ott devenu préfet délégué pour l’égalité des chances auprès de Sophie Thibault, préfète du Val-de-Marne, Jean Castex était en quête d’un nouveau chef de cabinet. Son choix s’est porté sur Olivier Ginez qu’il connaît bien puisque ce dernier était son chef de cabinet adjoint entre juillet 2020 et octobre 2021.
Agé de 41 ans, Olivier Ginez est titulaire d'un diplôme d'ingénieur en robotique et informatique industrielle (École Polytechnique Universitaire de Montpellier) et d'un diplôme d'études approfondies en "sciences physiques appliquées – microélectronique" obtenu à l’université de Montpellier. Au sein de cette même université, il devient docteur en sciences (information, systèmes et structures) en 2007. Il est alors nommé maître de conférences à l'université d'Aix-Marseille. Trois ans plus tard, il devient délégué régional adjoint pour la recherche et la technologie de la région PACA, puis chargé de mission "développement économique, innovation et aménagement numérique" au secrétariat général pour les affaires régionales.
Après des expériences en préfecture en métropole et en Guyane, il devient directeur adjoint de cabinet de Gabriel Attal, alors secrétaire d'Etat auprès du ministre de l'Education nationale et de la Jeunesse. Par la suite, il rejoint le cabinet de Frédérique Vidal, ministre de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation où il est notamment chargé du suivi de l’exécution des réformes. En juillet 2020, Jean Castex le nomme chef de cabinet adjoint, poste qu’il occupera jusqu’à l’automne 2021 avant de faire son retour dans l’équipe de Frédérique Vidal. Depuis octobre 2021, il était directeur adjoint de cabinet de la ministre.
