Une Italienne va présider le Fonds européen d'investissement / Il s’agit de Gelsomina Vigliotti, vice-présidente de la Banque européenne d’investissement
Gelsomina Vigliotti, vice-présidente de la Banque européenne d’investissement (BEI), vient d’être nommée présidente du Fonds européen d’investissement, filiale de la BEI en charge du soutien aux PME. Elle cumulera les deux fonctions.

Le Fonds européen d’investissement (FEI), filiale de la Banque européenne d’investissement (BEI), a un nouveau président. Il s’agit de Gelsomina Vigliotti, vice-présidente et membre du comité de direction de la BEI. Elle cumulera les deux fonctions, a précisé à WanSquare la BEI.
Pour rappel, la mission du FEI est de soutenir les micro, petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) européennes en les aidant à accéder aux financements. Il met sur pied des instruments de capital-risque et de capital de croissance, des garanties et des instruments de microfinance qui ciblent spécifiquement ce segment de marché.
De nationalité italienne, Gelsomina Vigliotti est diplômée en économie de l’université d’York. Elle a commencé son parcours professionnel au Trésor italien et y a occupé diverses fonctions de direction. Elle a notamment été directrice générale des relations financières internationales du Trésor italien, chargée de coordonner les activités liées au système économique, monétaire et financier international et aux institutions multilatérales de développement.
Au sein de la BEI, ses domaines de supervision couvrent le financement des PME et des ETI, les fonds propres et les produits de type fonds propres, le suivi et la restructuration des contreparties, les nouveaux produits, les transactions spéciales, la microfinance, ainsi que les opérations en Italie, à Malte, en Égypte, en Israël, en Jordanie, Liban et Palestine.
