Alerte : Emmanuel Macron propose Stéphane Séjourné pour le poste de commissaire européen
Alors que ce devait être Thierry Breton qui devait faire partie du nouveau collège de commissaires européens (mandat de cinq ans) présenté demain par Ursula von der Leyen, présidente de la Commission européenne, le Français a rapporté avoir finalement été écarté par l’Allemande.
Pour le remplacer, le choix du Président de la République Emmanuel Macron s’est porté sur Stéphane Séjourné, ministre démissionnaire des Affaires étrangères. Le poste est centré sur "les enjeux de souveraineté industrielle, technologique et de compétitivité européenne", a fait savoir l’Elysée. Lors de la précédente législature, Stéphane Séjourné fut président du groupe Renew (centristes et libéraux) au Parlement européen.
