Les élections régionales en Bavière le week-end dernier sont un signal fort à l'égard du gouvernement d'Angela Merkel... déjà fragilisé.

"La Bavière n'est plus le synonyme de la CSU", prévient le Spiegel, à l'issue du vote de dimanche dernier, dans le länder allemand traditionnellement fidèle à ce parti. "Le résultat de l'élection va changer la Bavière - et l'Allemagne aussi", prédit le site de l'hebdomadaire, affirmant que "Horst Seehofer ne peut plus rester ministre", alors que son parti n'a totalisé que 37% des voix... un échec cuisant. Pour la Sueddeutsche Zeitung, le quotidien bavarois de référence, "la vieille CSU est morte" avec cette "défaite historique". Cependant, mardi, Horst Seehofer a organisé une conférence de presse, affirmant que son parti resterait au sein de la grande coalition, "quelle que soit la situation en Bavière". Il prévoit néanmoins d'organiser une journée de son parti, rapporte notamment la Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, afin de tirer des enseignements de cette débâcle électorale.
Mais la CSU n'est pas la seule à avoir vécu un véritable camouflet le week-end dernier. Avec un recul de plus de 10 points, le SPD, autre allié d'Angela Merkel au pouvoir, ne parvient pas à atteindre les 10% des votes. Le Spiegel n'hésite pas à parler de "désastre électoral", estimant que le parti est "lourdement frappé". "La devise après la débâcle est le silence", précise le site de l'hebdomadaire, décrivant une "paix particulière" qui règne au sein du SPD. "En dépit des résultats historiquement médiocres et du mécontentement grandissant suscité par la grande coalition, personne n'ose s'interroger ouvertement sur l'avenir de la cheffe du SPD, Andrea Nahles". Pour le Spiegel, les socio-démocrates comptent encore sur les élections en Hesse pour redorer leur blason - repoussant ainsi temporairement les débats autour d'une éventuelle sortie de la GroKo. Quoi qu'il en soit, les résultats électoraux du week-end dernier ont affaibli un gouvernement qui n'avait pas besoin de cela.
Dans le même temps, le Handelsblatt rapporte que "les courtiers regardent avec pessimisme la conjoncture allemande". "Les prévisions étaient aussi mauvaises qu'aujourd'hui pour la dernière fois il y a deux ans, après le vote du Brexit. C'est essentiellement le conflit commercial qui pèse sur les prévisions". Ainsi, l'indice ZEW a chuté de 14,1 points à 24,7, selon l'étude mensuelle menée auprès de 194 analystes et investisseurs. Les économistes s'attendaient seulement à une diminution de 12 points.
La presse allemande s'intéresse également à la nomination, en France, de Christophe Castaner au gouvernement. "Un ancien joueur de poker est le nouveau ministre de l'Intérieur français", titre le Handelsblatt. "Christophe Castaner a tout ce qui est nécessaire pour le poste-clé de ministre de l'Intérieur. Macron a désespérément besoin de ces qualités", précise le site du quotidien. Le Spiegel estime également que le Président français n'a "plus d'élan en ce moment". Entre sondages mauvais et démission de Gérard Collomb.
