Thomas Buberl va porter le Green Deal Européen
Selon les informations obtenues par WanSquare, ce week-end a eu lieu une réunion importante entre les dirigeants du Forum Economique Mondial de Davos, ceux de la Commission Européenne et plusieurs grands patrons des groupes du secteur privé. Tout cela, afin de discuter de la manière d’adopter une reprise verte et durable après la pandémie COVID-19.
D’un commun accord l’ensemble des parties prenantes à cette réunion ont nommé Thomas Buberl, le patron d’Axa, patron du groupe d’action de ce Forum pour le Green Deal européen. Il s’est donc engagé, devant ses pairs à faire avancer le dialogue sur les défis critiques auxquels est confrontée la reprise européenne après la pandémie et de travailler pour élaborer un plan d'action afin de mobiliser les entreprises à faire avancer l'agenda du Green Deal européen.
Depuis le lancement de l'accord vert européen en décembre 2019, le contexte de l'Europe a fondamentalement changé. Après la pandémie de COVID-19, le vieux-continent fait face à la plus grande crise économique depuis la Grande Dépression, l'économie de la zone euro pouvant se contracter jusqu'à 7,7% cette année. Si l'accent est mis sur les secours économiques immédiats et la sauvegarde des ménages et des emplois, la crise a également ouvert la possibilité d'envisager une grande transition des sociétés et des économies.
L'accord vert européen doit devenir la pierre angulaire de la reprise de la pandémie en Europe. Plutôt que de reconstruire l'économie du vingtième siècle, nous devons nous concentrer sur les dépenses judicieuses en matière de relance et sur la préparation de l'Europe à un avenir compétitif et inclusif du vingt-et-unième siècle, a déclaré Frans Timmermans, vice-président exécutif du European Green Deal et membre de la Commission européenne.
"Nous avons une opportunité unique de construire une Europe plus verte et plus résiliente grâce à l'investissement et à l'innovation. Aujourd'hui, le secteur privé et le secteur public ont fait une déclaration claire en faveur d'un accord vert européen. En tant que président groupe, je suis impatient de travailler avec mes collègues sur des propositions concrètes pour rendre le Green Deal réalisable, efficace et, en fin de compte, fructueux", a déclaré Tomas Buberl.
