Mirabaud crée une société de conseils en M&A
Mirabaud étoffe sa présence et ses activités sur le territoire français. Le groupe de gestion privée a annoncé la création de Mirabaud Advisors, entité qui sera spécialisée dans le conseil M&A dédié aux opérations de mid-cap. Rattachée à la ligne de métier Mirabaud Securities déjà active en Suisse, en Espagne et au Royaume-Uni, la nouvelle filiale Mirabaud Advisors devrait apporter des conseils financiers aux entrepreneurs et actionnaires d’ETI. Comment ? En les connectant aux partenaires adéquats à chaque phase de leur développement, qu’il s’agisse de fonds de private equity, de holdings d’investissement ou d’acquéreurs industriels et stratégiques, dans le cadre d’opérations de cessions, d'acquisitions ou de levées de fonds.
La nouvelle entité se concentrera sur des opérations comprises entre 50 et 250 millions d’euros, et conseillera également de grands groupes, cotés ou non notamment dans le cadre d’arbitrages d’actifs (carve out / cessions). "Mirabaud Advisors interviendra en parfaite synergie avec l’ensemble du dispositif proposé par Mirabaud en France, qu’il s’agisse de l’ingénierie patrimoniale, la gestion privée, le conseil en investissement mais aussi le private equity, grâce aux équipes de Renaud Dutreil", a déclaré Stéphane Jaouen, Directeur général Mirabaud & Cie (Europe) SA en France. Rappelons que ce dernier a pris la direction de la banque privée Mirabaud en France en juin dernier, après avoir été directeur en charge du développement commercial.
Le mouvement de rapprochement entre gestion de fortune/banque privée et corporate finance est une tendance lourde depuis une quinzaine d'années - mais qui connaît des va-et-vient en fonction du contexte macro-économique. Tout récemment, Indosuez Wealth Management (l'entité mondiale de gestion de fortune du Crédit Agricole) et Crédit Agricole CIB (la banque d'investissement du groupe) ont créé une structure commune, baptisée Private Investment Banking.
Pour diriger cette nouvelle structure, basée à Paris avenue Hoche, Mirabaud a nommé Stéphane Benouaich, chargé de constituer son équipe. Ce diplômé de l'EM Lyon possède une solide expérience de banquier d'affaires, acquise chez Rothschild tout d'abord, où il a été conseil en M&A, puis chez BNP Paribas où il a également été responsable des opérations de fusion acquisition. Le banquier a ensuite passé 6 ans chez Oddo en tant que managing partner, puis chez DC Advisory en tant que managing director M&A. Après un an chez BNP CIB en tant que managing director, il avait fondé Mindset Capital Partners, en novembre 2019.
