Crédit Suisse crée une nouvelle équipe à Paris
Les différentes initiatives des derniers gouvernements pour retenir ou ne pas faire partir des grandes fortunes et les entrepreneurs français du territoire ont-ils convaincu Credit Suisse ? Toujours est-il que Crédit Suisse Private Banking & Wealth Management France, l'entité française de banque privée de l'établissement helvétique, a annoncé vendredi la création d'une nouvelle équipe consacrée aux Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI, segment de clientèle disposant des actifs financiers les plus importants) et aux grands investisseurs.
Pour la diriger, Crédit Suisse a recruté Thierry Lobjois, qui était jusqu'à présent responsable adjoint de l'équipe des grands investisseurs privés chez Société Générale Private Banking Luxembourg. Âgé de 52 ans, Thierry Lobjois affiche un profil de scientifique et de banque de marché - un lien fréquent. Diplômé d'un magistère de modélisation mathématique et méthodes informatiques, ainsi que d'un DEA d'informatique, tous deux obtenus à l'Université de Rennes 1. Il a commencé sa carrière en 1994 comme responsable de relations clients et directeur de la recherche à la Bourse de Paris, pour œuvrer ensuite chez le courtier Exane (devenu Exane BNP Paribas en 2004) entre 1996 et 2010 avec le titre d'associé, vendeur senior de produits dérivés. Il rejoindra ensuite Crédit Agricole CIB (la banque de financement et d'investissement de l'établissement mutualiste) en qualité de responsable des ventes pour l'Europe (avec le grade de managing director). Il a ensuite cofondé Coverage Finance en 2013, une société de conseil et d'intermédiation en financement structuré, avant de rejoindre la Société Générale en 2015.
Thierry Lobjois travaillera avec deux banquiers privés expérimentés : John Senouf (Berkeley, HEC, London Business School, en charge des UHNW chez Barclays avant d'arriver chez Credit Suisse en 2015) et Bertrand Le Bourhis, arrivé dans la banque helvétique en novembre dernier.
La gestion de fortune connaît une segmentation croissante. Après l'apparition du concept de High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) au cours de la décennie 2000, la financiarisation toujours plus importante de l'économie et l'apparition de grandes fortunes dans les pays émergents (au-delà des familles héritières traditionnelles) ont conduit à distinguer dans ce groupe les UHNWI en leur proposant des services davantage sur-mesure - et bien entendu plus onéreux. Si les critères peuvent varier de banque à banque, on place en général dans cette catégorie les clients qui détiennent au moins 30 millions de dollars d'actif nets.
