L’ancien patron de l’X va conseiller l’exécutif sur l’innovation / Eric Labaye devient président du Comité de surveillance des investissements d'avenir
Le Premier ministre Gabriel Attal a choisi de nommer Eric Labaye à la tête de l’organisme notamment en charge d’éclairer le gouvernement sur la conduite des politiques d’innovation. Neuf nouvelles personnalités qualifiées rejoignent également le comité.

La composition du Comité de surveillance des investissements d'avenir (CSIA) fait peau neuve. Le Premier ministre Gabriel Attal a décidé de nommer Eric Labaye à la tête de l’organisme chargé “d’éclairer et de conseiller le gouvernement dans l’élaboration et la conduite des politiques d’innovation”, d’une part, et de “donner un avis consultatif sur l’identification et la qualification de nouvelles priorités d’investissement, tout en conservant sa mission d’évaluation de l’exécution des programmes des investissements d’avenir”, d’autre part. Il prend la suite de Patricia Barbizet, présidente de l’Association française des entreprises privées (Afep). Sous la présidence de cette dernière, le CSIA aura notamment examiné les retombées économiques et l’avancée du plan France 2030.
Neuf autres personnalités qualifiées font leur entrée au CSIA (le mandat est de deux ans). Il s’agit de Anne-Sophie Carrese, associée chez Elaia Partners, Barbara Dalibard, présidente du conseil de surveillance de Michelin, Jean-Michel Dalle, directeur de l’incubateur Agoranov et professeur des universités, Stéphanie Dupuy-Lyon, directrice de l'engagement sociétal du groupe La Poste, Alexandre Loupy, professeur des universités et praticien hospitalier, néphrologue au sein de l'Hôpital Necker, Frédéric Mazzella, président-fondateur de BlaBlacar et co-président de France Digitale, Frédéric Sanchez, président du groupe Fives et de l’Alliance Industrie du Futur, Marie-Noëlle Semeria, directrice R&D de TotalEnergies et Florence Verzelen, directrice générale adjointe de Dassault Systèmes.
Agé de 62 ans, Eric Labaye est diplômé de l'École polytechnique, de Télécom Paris et est titulaire d'un MBA de l'Insead. Entré chez McKinsey & Company au milieu des années 80, ce passionné de sciences dures prendra au fil du temps de plus en plus de poids au sein du cabinet de conseil en stratégie américain pour lequel il travaillera 33 ans durant.
Chef de projet en 1990, il deviendra directeur général pour la France en 2002 puis membre du comité de direction mondial en charge du développement et de la diffusion du capital intellectuel de McKinsey en 2010 en même temps qu’il sera nommé président du McKinsey Global lnstitute (MGI), l’institut de recherche du cabinet, pour le compte duquel il aura dirigé des études sur la croissance en Europe, la productivité, la digitalisation, l'avenir du travail et les inégalités. Chez McKinsey, il aura entre autres été aux prises avec les problématiques des télécommunications, de la haute technologie et de l'industrie, ainsi que des gouvernements et des institutions publiques sur une variété de questions stratégiques et opérationnelles.
Il sera désigné président du conseil d'administration de l'Ecole polytechnique en 2018, puis président de l'Institut polytechnique de Paris une fois créé en mai 2019, qui regroupe l'École polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis. Son mandat arrivait à échéance en septembre 2023 et il n'a pas souhaité se porter candidat pour cinq années supplémentaires.
