Qui sont les plus gros recruteurs de la City ?
La recherche du nouveau dirigeant de Deutsche Bank aura fait les affaires d’Heidrick & Struggles. Le cabinet de chasseurs de têtes arrive en première place du classement annuel britannique de Grapevine, dans la catégorie banques et gestion d’actifs. La firme, dont le siège est basé à Chicago, est suivie d’autres noms également bien connus en France : Spencer Stuart et Russell Reynolds. Les trois spécialistes du recrutement affichent respectivement des parts de marché de 13,8%, 13,1% et 12,6% sur le segment des missions supérieures à 200.000 livres. Ils sont talonnés par Korn Ferry et Egon Zehnder.
Heidrick & Struggles a également bien fait les choses pour les missions entre 100.000 et 200.000 livres puisque le cabinet décroche la deuxième place. Il se retrouve ainsi derrière Walker Hamill, mais devant Sheffield Haworth. A noter que le nombre de mandats dans cette fourchette a baissé de 3,7% par rapport à l’an passé. Pour le seuil de plus de 200.000 livres, le nombre de missions a même chuté de 12,7%.
"Les clients veulent que nous les mettions davantage au défi, que nous remettions en question leurs hypothèses et leur façon de penser le marché", a expliqué à Financial News, Jenni Hibbert, managing partner chez Heidrick & Struggles. Et d’ajouter : "Les clients veulent que nous faisions plus de suggestions qu'ils n'auraient pas envisagées à l'origine ; que nous leur présentions plus de candidats ‘flexibles’ (‘stretch’), que nous leur présentions plus de gens extérieurs aux services financiers ".
Du côté des services financiers retail et de l’assurance, toujours outre-Manche, ce sont Egon Zehnder, Korn Ferry et Russell Reynolds qui tiennent la corde, pour les missions de plus de 200.000 livres. Pour la fourchette du dessous, la coupe revient à Odgers Berndtson, Pure et Egon Zehnder. Et plus globalement, qui sont les grands gagnants à la City ? Le classement global de Grapevine met en avant Korn Ferry (11,3%), Spencer Stuart (11,1%) et Egon Zehnder (10,1%), sur les missions les plus importantes (200.000 livres). Sachant que le secteur banques/gestions d’actifs a été le plus lucratif, devant la catégorie consommation/média/santé et l’industrie.
