Tous les fonds d’Amundi seront ESG-compatibles d’ici 2021
Yves Perrier, le patron d’Amundi – le plus grand gestionnaire d'actifs d'Europe, avec environ 1.500 milliards d'euros d'actifs sous gestion à fin 2018 et quelques centaines de clients investisseurs institutionnels a donné une longue interview au site Funds Europe en ce tout début d’année. Il insiste notamment sur l’impact des placements sur le plan climatique.
De fait, Amundi prévoit d'intégrer des critères d'investissement environnementaux, sociaux et de gouvernance (ESG) dans tous ses fonds d'ici 2021. Y compris les fonds négociés en bourse (ETF), qui doivent investir dans les entreprises, bonnes et mauvaises. Naturellement, tout le personnel d'investissement d’Amundi sera formé aux enjeux ESG, et les entreprises dans lesquelles l'entreprise investit seront pondérées en partie par leur notation ESG.
Amundi se fixe également pour objectif de lever des fonds pour financer la transition de l'énergie loin des énergies fossiles. Mais, comme l’affirme Yves Perrier, les décideurs politiques européens doivent faire davantage pour développer une "véritable politique énergétique". Les actifs d'Amundi soutenant la transition énergétique et la croissance des énergies vertes atteignaient 8,2 milliards d'euros au 31 décembre 2018.
Sur la question des inégalités, le gestionnaire d'actifs a demandé à chaque entreprise dans laquelle il détient des actions de divulguer le rapport entre le salaire du P.-D.G. et celui de son employé moyen. Si les investisseurs n'intègrent pas les intérêts de la société dans leurs investissements, alors qui le fera ? se demande très justement Yves Perrier, dont l’autre préoccupation est la diversité.
Il démontre un soutien particulier aux personnes handicapées. "Chaque être humain, pour moi, a la même valeur : les femmes, les hommes, les handicapés, les forts, les faibles, les intelligents et les non-intelligents et, bien sûr, les noirs et les blancs." Il ajoute : "Notre comité exécutif est composé à 24% de femmes et la France est l'un des meilleurs pays pour les femmes qui retournent au travail après avoir eu des enfants sans créer de problème pour leur carrière. Mais que les personnes handicapées ne puissent pas avoir d'emploi, c'est le contraire de tous les principes de cette entreprise. La première valeur d'Amundi est le courage et les personnes handicapées nous enseignent une leçon de courage chaque jour."
