Deux tiers des Français ont voté contre la mondialisation
En dehors des listes Renaissance (La République en Marche, le Modem, Agir, le Parti Radical) Les Républicains et UDI, toutes les autres listes comportaient, dans leurs programmes, des souhaits de voir l’Europe installer des barrières commerciales à ses frontières. Mais lors des nombreux – voire trop nombreux débats – qui ont permis à chacun d’exposer sa vision de l’Europe de demain, les chefs de files des autres listes (Rassemblement National, comme France Insoumise, comme les Verts, comme Place Publique, etc.) ont mis en exergue la mondialisation comme principal facteur de troubles, actuellement en Europe.
Depuis l’élection présidentielle de 2017 on voit apparaître très nettement ce clivage entre une France qui accepte la mondialisation et qui comprend que notre pays s’inscrit dans une tradition d’économie de marché et de libéralisme politique et économique et une France qui veut retrouver ses racines, son identité, sa culture, sa population "de souche" et qui attribue à la mondialisation toutes les difficultés que ressentent de nombreux Français en fin de mois. Comme si en faisant d’un monde ouvert à tous et à toutes les marchandises le bouc émissaire de toutes nos difficultés cela allait nous permettre de les guérir. Comme si en s’enfermant derrière des frontières physiques, commerciales, culturelles et migratoires, la France allait retrouver de la croissance, de la résilience, de l’innovation, de l’investissement et du travail pour tous.
Il reste qu’aujourd’hui le clivage politique en France n’est plus entre une droite qui ne sait plus très bien si elle habite à l’Élysée, à Matignon ou rue de Vaugirard et une gauche atomisée et bouleversée par les préoccupations des plus jeunes sur le climat et la biodiversité. Mais entre ceux qui veulent que la France reste un pays ouvert comme elle l’a été lorsqu’elle a été grande, lorsqu’elle a été puissante sur le plan industriel et commercial, comme elle a été reconnue sur le plan culturel et ceux qui veulent une France repliée sur elle-même, qui confondent mondialisation et immigration, et qui attribuent aux faiblesses de l’Europe sur le plan institutionnel les raisons de leurs difficultés personnelles.
Voir l’économie de marché et la mondialisation ainsi jetées en pâture, c’est se tromper de débat. C’est surtout ce dont la France a le moins besoin. Heureusement qu’il reste des entreprises menées par des capitaines d’industrie volontaires, comme Renault qui en s’apprêtant à devenir le numéro un mondial de l’automobile, montrent qu’il n’y a de fatalité pour personne dans un monde ouvert à tous et à toutes les opportunités.
