1/ Quel fait majeur retenez-vous pour l'année 2019 ?
Saluons l’embellie sur le front de l’emploi en 2019. L’inactivité a encore reflué, tant du côté des jeunes que des chômeurs de longue durée. Les craintes de destructions d’emplois liées aux disruptions technologiques ne sont pas avérées et, pour la première fois de son histoire, la zone euro compte plus de 160 millions d’emplois. La reprise est là, les réformes ont porté leurs fruits. Réjouissons-nous !
2/ Que redoutez-vous ou qu'espérez-vous pour l'année 2020 ?
Les motifs d’inquiétude ne manqueront pas en 2020, des incertitudes politiques --qui se déplaceront plus qu’elles ne reflueront-- au recul des profits d’entreprises. Mais là encore, soyons positifs. La nouvelle gouvernance européenne a plein de projets. Est-ce là un effet de sa féminisation ? J’attends beaucoup du "Green Deal" d’Ursula vonder Leyen, en particulier la discussion qu’elle va susciter sur les règles budgétaires européennes et l’investissement public. J’espère également que la revue stratégique de Christine Lagarde conduira la BCE à mieux cibler l’inflation qu’elle ne le fait aujourd’hui.
